Q: Is there really a need in Costa Rica??
A: Just like anywhere else, there are towns where the territory is worked frequently and there are others where it gets worked once per year. A letter of inquiry to the Branch will inform you of where they feel the need is greatest in the country.
Q: What does it cost to live in Costa Rica?
A: It's different for everyone. Some of the single friends from other countries share expenses an live on $300-500 per month whereas some families live in larger homes and drive cars and it costs them from $800-1500 per month.
Q:What do the friends there do for work?
A:Anything and everything. Local brothers have Restaurants, Hardware Stores, parts stores and Hotels. Some are mechanics, cooks, barbers, and housekeepers.Foreigners can work by establishing a corporation, and then they can work as a representative of the corporation.

Q:What type of visa do you need to live there?
A:You can enter the country and stay for 90 days on a tourist visa. Then to renew it leave the country for 3 days and when you enter again you have a new stamp for 90 days more. Nicaragua and Panama are nearby so this is an easy option.Some missionaries and long-time residents are here with this type of visa. The only other real option is a residency visa.$600-1000 per month income from an official agency such as a government or bank, is the first step in obtaining residency status.
